Mission Point Resort
Mackinac Island, Michigan
Lynne Golodner has been leading this retreat for years in one of her favorite spots on earth—beautiful Mackinac Island!
This no-motor-vehicle island in Lake Huron between the Michigan peninsulas is the perfect place to get away, commune with words, and immerse in an intimate writing community where you just might meet your critique partner or new best friends.
We gather at Mission Point Resort for five days of generative writing, with morning lessons and afternoon excursions that include hiking, art museum, kayaking and an 8-mile bike tour around the island’s perimeter. Visit the lovely Mackinac Island Public Library for a late-afternoon reading against the lapping waves of the Great Lakes. Meet local writers, improve your craft, expand your creativity, and publish your writing!
“A fantastic writing retreat that helped me find new inspiration and form bonds with a phenomenally talented group of writers… Mackinac Island and the people I met there will always be special to me.”
